Foundations in CFT
In this three-day introduction course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), covering its historical development, the theoretical context and practical applications. The training encompasses teaching on defining compassion, exploring psycho-educational elements such as the three-system model, and practicing core techniques from Compassionate Mind Training.
-
The three-day Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) course is designed to immerse mental health professionals in the theoretical framework of CFT while emphasising hands-on learning through practical exercises in Compassionate Mind Training. Participants will actively engage in experiential activities aimed at cultivating self-compassion and honing skills in guiding clients through compassionate mind practices. By the end of the course, delegates will be equipped to integrate these practical exercises into their therapeutic toolkit, promoting the development of a compassionate mindset in both themselves and their clients.
